What was your inspiration?

I've seen this idea several times and thought it would make a nice, fun, quick project to give as gifts. I first made one for our house and they work wonderfully.

What are you most proud of?

It was fun introducing my family and friends to a new way of preparing baked potatoes and corn on the cob in the microwave. I was excited myself to learn how to use it. I quilted these bags on my little Singer Featherweight machine --simple.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

These bags can be made using 2 FQ's, one for the outside and one for a lining and of course a bit of cotton batting scraps. Here's another opportunity to use up some of the FQ's you've got stashed away.

Remember to always use 100% cotton fabric and Warm tater 100% cotton batting from the warm company. Anything else could emit toxins and/or catch fire.

A friend made me one for a gift.. I use it all the time, not just for potatoes, also for corn on the cob, heating up rolls, and more. Mine is fairly thick, not sure how the thin ones do that I purchased at a craft fair.
