What was your inspiration?
The photo in the magazine struck me and I tucked it away to make later as I had no wool felt fabric that was called for in construction of this bag. I have a huge stash; it just doesn't extend to wool felt as I haven't gotten into that craft YET. On my shelf I do have quit a stack of old jeans So, I made the bag out of recycled denim, new chambray fabric (for lining), denim scraps and odds and ends of beads. I used black webbing for the handle straps and added a zipper to close the top of the bag. The zipper turned out to be a challenge to add to the finished bag, more so because of the fabric bulk. It was, however, worth it.
What are you most proud of?
Turned out cute.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Sometimes I follow the recommendations of the designer about fabrics, but often I use what is on hand as I did in this instance.
