What materials did you use? cotton fabric, cotton thread and pebeo setacolor fabric paints

What are you most proud of? The leaves, in the class at my guild we were given a printed fabric for the leaves. But I had learned to paint leaves in Annette's class. I think mine looked way better than the other students who only used paint on the flower and bud.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Annette starts out with a light colored fabric and paints darker areas. This is wayyyy better than using a dark fabric and trying to lighten it up with paint mixed with white, which is what this other teacher recommended. I tried both ways and will definitely be using light fabrics in the future. The whitened paint looks odd.

Should read 'two colour ways'

The poppy is one of my favourite flowers and you have captured it beautifully.

no, it was a photo that a friend took. i took what I learned in the class and applied it. I am going to try a passion flower next from a photo I took in my back yard. It is such a bizarred looking, but beautiful flower.

I love what you did with the drawing and painting that I did for the class you took. It did start with a photo I took and then, I , added the embellished leaves from my own drawing experience. that you see in the finished project. Great idea to put into a bag. So nice to see what class participants do with our ideas.
