What was your inspiration?

I just love doilies. My mom, grandma, and great grandma all crochet..Just love it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time and count your stitches..blocking this one was trial and error. This pattern gathers and buckles, so blocking is a must.

I can't copy this pattern as it would be a copyright violation, but I can give you the name of the pattern book. It is Popcorn Stitch Doilies by Josie Rabier, published by American School of Needlework. The number of the book is 1326 and published in 2001. This book has 5 gorgeous popcorn doilies, well worth the money to buy it. Hope that helps.

Simply Beautiful Job! I am trying one much similar, and repated pattern for tablecloth, Hopefully will be ready for Christmas, hehe. Keep the pretty work.
