What materials did you use? I used PMC3, fine silver granules, PMC3 paste and syringe, a stainless steel screw, a drinking straw, cubic zirconia, a glass donut and a ball point pen refill. The photo makes it look dull, but it's really very shiny.

What are you most proud of? This was the final project I had to complete for my Rio Grande certification. It was wild! I had little time so everything had to go perfectly. I wanted my pen to be really whimsical . To do that I decided to carve into it when it was dry and paste on the granules. The refill goes in at the tip.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Once I finished the piece and the stress was over I realized that it was a challenging project and the most satisfying one.

Wow! I can't imagine the exacting detail to get the internal dimensions pre-firing, to fit the pen refill post-firing! I managed to do that with a stoneware lantern I made years ago, but that was just a hole cut into the bottom of the raised base, taking into consideration the shrinkage rate of that clay, to fit an outdoor-rated bulb socket into. This is amazing, and I love all the texture and bling details! More pics please?

Thanks. Yes, I'll take some more photos. My camera isn't a good one and it seems never to show up the real shiny polish on my pieces.
