Do you use fondant to cover cakes before adding pleats or ruffles? Or how do you decide whether to leave iced or fondant over cakes? I do not like taste of Wilton fondant, what is best tasting fondant in your opinion and what do you use under fondant on cakes? I loved this class. Did you make dummy cake forms for practice? If so, what is the best way to make dummy cakes if I want to practice your techniques? Thanks

Do you use dummy cakes to practice and how is best way to make t hem? Also I would like to know if you used frosted or fondant cakes to put designs on and what fondant tastes best? Also what do you use under fondant on cakes to taste good? Do you take pleats and ruffles off to c yup t cake or not? I am just getting into fondant covered cakes and have not found taste I like. You can practice on cake dummies. It's usually inexpensive to purchase foam cake dummies. The cakes or dummies are usually covered with a thin covering of fondant before adding the pleats. Finding a fondant flavor that you like is very subjective and varies by personal taste so you'll probably have to try a few to find one you like.

I agree, fondant is not good, makes for pretty decorations, but people like tasty treats, what do you do?
