What materials did you use? I used 100% cotton quilter's cotton and batiks, 80/20 Hobbs batting, and Omni longarm thread.

I love this quilt Is the quilting done on a home machine or a long arm.

A long arm.

We don't have many shops sell 80/20 Hobbs batting. In fact, most of the quilt-shops in Japan sells 100%-polyester battings only. How sad it is! I suppose that type of quality batting may bring your feather quilting more effective. Isn't it a big difference? I hope some of you have opportunity to provide us similar one you use in U.S.

If you can find a wool batting there (I'm thinking of the climate) it would make the quilting "pop" even more. The 80/20 Hobbs is not too poofy. I love the cotton because it breathes so well and so would the wool. Good luck finding what you need.

Did you use a layer cake or charm pack? If so, how many packs would it take? Seriously beautiful!

Thanks for the compliment, Patty. I did not use a layer cake or charm pack. I did use fat quarters for the top and yardage for the backing. It was all stuff I had in my stash. The quilt was constructed totally of 61/2 inch squares except for the pinwheel in the middle that was 31/2 inch prairie points.
