Cotton Fabric, Batting, and a local plat map. A plat map is a land map showing who owns what land/farm ground in a township.
What was your inspiration?
The Farm Land!! My husband was in a plane and thought the farm land in Iowa would make a good quilt. My newphew loves tractors so he thought it would make a good play mat. We bought fabric that symbolized Corn, Beans, Prairie, Dirt, Alfalfa, Dirt Roads, River and houses.
What are you most proud of?
Working together with my husband to make a one of a kind gift!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Plan it all out!! We drew all the squares out first on a piece of paper to make it as close to real layout of the actual farm land.
