Floopy Brim Hat for Babies »

Instructions

Great easy pattern. Can be made bigger using larger yarn. Made without brim is perfect for a Preemie. Use a flower for decoration. Just use your imagination.

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Charity

Style: Cute

Materials

Red Heart baby Pompador for the white one and Bernat Baby Jacquards Easter Basket, size G hook.

What was your inspiration?

My girls and grand daughter wore "Floopy Brim Hats" as babies. They always looked so angelic and girly. I used different yarns, even took the brim off and even that made a nice hat!

What are you most proud of?

I went and delivered blankets and a few hats, dresses, and cuddle sacs to the NICU and the reception I got because of these articles was well worth the time and effort I used making them.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It is a very rewarding to know you are doing something for someone else. Make a few, give them away and see what happens. If I can get enough of them I will expand to other hospitals. Sometimes we think someone else is doing this and no one is. Why can't it be you?
