Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional, Casual

Materials

White cotton with a loose weave, suitable for machine embroidery. Calico prints and batiks for binding. Crayons to color design.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to use my embroidery designs and incorporate coloring with crayons, which I had done before.

What are you most proud of?

They look better than I expected and are washable and if your color comes out you can recolor.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do a sample . Also if you do not have an embroidery machine, you can hand embroidery. I have done that too on another project. For outline designs, you can use designs from coloring books and trace them onto your fabric with a light box or just hold them up to a window, which is what I did. During the day of course.
