The pattern is from the book, "Sewing in No Time", by Emma Hardy. It's a very straightforward project so I don't have any special instructions. I just switched the outside border and the inner border around (the wide part is supposed to be on the outside) and used two fabrics instead of three.Difficulty:

I made the placemats as a bridal shower gift.

I received several compliments from other women at the bridal shower, as well as from the bride, which confirmed to me how well they turned out.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Do your best but don't worry if they're not perfect...mine weren't!
