What was your inspiration?
My friend Joan lent me her sewing machine for a number of months when I was struggling with mine... it's all her fault I ended up buying a new machine for me LOL. Anyway, what better way to say thanks than with a little bit of quilting.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid to use fabrics that appear as gawdy as heck... remember you're only using a little piece at a time! This fabric had all the colours I wanted so I went for it... I think it worked... Joan is certainly happy with my choice too, yay!
