What are you most proud of? I thought it turned out fantastic considering my experience level. The look on their face was priceless.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you've got a time deadline, start way, way in advance. Again, I'm a novice so everything took what seemed like forever to make, but I had a blast in the meantime. I love pirates. I was even a 'dead' pirate last year for Halloween. Argh!

You did a great job on this cake. The waves on the side certainly convey the feeling of the water! And your use of .....and mixing the mediums is right on! Using what works best for different parts of the cake is very professional. Keep up the great work!

I think you did a GREAT job on this cake!!! It is obvious that a lot of thought, prep, and time went into it!! I don't think you can describe yourself as a "novice- beginner" any more :) I can only imagine the smiles from the birthday boy-- this is a great cake!!! Good for you!

Thank you so much for your kindness. I appreciate you taking the time to comment more than you know. Again, thank you.
