What was your inspiration?
All of the bright Circus type colors make this a very stimulating quilt for babies. The ducks in sailboats fabric used for the wide border treatment is also the backing for this quilt. It is quilted with stitch-in-the-ditch around the large on-point squares and the pinwheels, The wide border edging as a meandering wave elike line weaving in and out of the boats in a non-stop pattern.
What are you most proud of?
Being able to find the light blue and yellow fabrics with the exact same paint splatter patterns, and the red has shooting stars throughout the material in the same colors as is in the blue and yellow splattered material. The dark blue fabric with ducklings in sailboats gave inspiraton to all the other fabrics used in this quilt.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Relax and have fun with it. You'll be surprised how much fun it is to make.! I was.
