What materials did you use? I was determined to use fabrics from my stash, and I was able to for almost all the quilt except both borders. Yeah!

What are you most proud of? Adding the flange to pop out the red. I'm so glad I took the class and that I used (for the most part) long lost fabrics in my stash!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you aren't sure what colors to put where, print out copies of the quilts you like and study how the maker used her fabrics. I printed out a block from three different pinwheel quilts just to see how they contrasted their fabrics. It helped me a lot because I had a hard time 'picturing the end result. If you think it will take you a long time, do what I did....I timed out how long it took me to paper-piece, trim and press 4 squares = 30 minutes. I then grabbed a half hour when I could and may slow but steady progress.
