What was your inspiration?

Peggy Martin is a paper piecing genius. This was my first paper pieced project. This class was so well taught with perfect instructions, great camera work and supplemental materials. This class inspired me to try a piecing method I would have kept on my back burner for a long time to come. I am looking forward to completing projects using all of the patterns from this class.

What are you most proud of?

This project looks way more complicated than it actually is. Shhhh.....don,'t tell anyone this was so much easier than it looks.

I will post more photos when I complete it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The hardest part was deciding what fabric to use. The instructions are so clear that the rest was easy.
Go for it.

Wow - what a fantastic way to use your fabrics and colors - I really love how you used just 3 fabrics to produce such wonderful graphic, dramatic effects! Can't wait to see your finished quilt - and I'm so glad that you are enjoying the class!

Thanks! It was a challenge to find a balanced layout. I made small copies of the foundation block and colored them with colored pencils and laid them out until I found a balanced looking design. That was tedious but well worth it. I had to color a lot of squares before I found a good pattern.

I love this... A patriotic polka. Very bright cheerful color scheme and design, not the usual red white and blue. Very nice.
