Instructions
These vary just slightly from the written pattern, because I started the outer round in the wrong place; instead of starting over I just made a "variation" by adding an extra repeat! To make this pattern you need to be able to tat rings, chains, joins, lock joins, and split rings. The ways to add the beads are shown in the book.
Difficulty:
Category: Jewelry
Type of item: Accessory
For: Women
Style: Traditional, Romantic, Retro / Vintage, Victorian / Steampunk, Classic, Formal / Bridal
Materials
Size 20 "Flora" thread, size 11/0 seed beads, size 8mm Swarovski pearls, and size 4mm Swarovski pearls.
What was your inspiration?
I was inspired to put a bead into a tatted split ring by the method shown on Jane Eborall's tatting website.
What are you most proud of?
They're pretty!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you haven't yet learned how to tat, there are many tutorials and videos available online to help. This project was tatted using 2 shuttles and uses the technique of split rings, so would be considered intermediate to advanced.
