What materials did you use? Cotton Shirting

What are you most proud of? I am glad that I had enough fabric to play with the straight and bias grains of this fabric. It was an adventure!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If this is your first shirt, use the straight grain of the fabric, not the bias. Using bias pieces of fabric requires careful selection of just the right fabric and careful planning and assembly of the fabric puzzle. It usually also requires more yardage.

Yay!!! I love the placement of the different sections of the shirt on the straight and bias :-)) Great advice for anyone making a shirt for the first time, but after a little experience, go for it! Thanks so much for posting your picture, great workmanship! Pam
