I like recreating things from 'old' clothes, other people discard and it is my special challenge to remake it into something else, but nice and wearable. Anyone can do this, with a bit of fantasy and some sewing skills.Difficulty:

wool blend My mother-in-law left behind this coat and I was allowed to keep it and do something with it. I l loved the fabric of the coat, but hated the rest, so I took it all apart and remade it into this coat for my daughter
What was your inspiration?
Several craftsy courses I am taking at the moment. I combined different techniques and tips I picked up from I from the couture dress and the starlet jacket.
What are you most proud of?
That I was able to create this nice coat for my daughter without having to spend a fortune on fabric. I also love the fact that I am can directly convert the things I learn in the different craftsy courses, into the different projects I make.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just give it a try and if it doesn't work out the first time, just keep on trying and one day you come up with something beautiful.
