What materials did you use? cotton fabric, polyester batting, trilobal polyester thread for quilting

What are you most proud of? I've learned to be very precise in my piecing -- every little variation has a big effect on the outcome, and this quilt turned out nearly perfect. But I'm most proud of the quilting I did on this project. This is the first biggish quilt I've done with lots of free motion quilting (I used to settle for stitching in the ditch and adding a few squiggly lines here and there). I must say, this quilt is really gorgeous!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be very precise about your 1/4" seams and trimming and pressing after each round of "logs." It's possible to skip these things, but your finished product will probably be messy and disappointing.

Love the block, colors and your quilting.

Beautiful! Feathers are the hardest for me to do.

I do not usually like pink unless it is for my granddaughter. This is beautiful. Is this a log cabin design? Would like to see the whole quilt.

this is an uneven log cabin design, which is taught in one of the 2013 block of the month classes. I added an extra row of "logs". I made 2 of these quilts and posted a photo of the whole quilt for the other one I made. look under my projects for the Yellow Brick Road quilt, and you can see it there. very very easy to make - just use wider strips on one side of the block and narrower ones on the other. see those BOM classes for details
