Do the course. I used the Altered Squares pattern which you learn with Jenny in the course....fabulous, easy and beautiful as you will see from my photos. Moda Swanky Layer Cake which I brought with me from Australia. Have had the material for about 2 years....
What was your inspiration?
The fabric.....didn't want to cut up into smaller pieces and Jenny gave me the perfect idea when I saw her with the layer cake pattern for altered squares.
What are you most proud of?
Using the jelly roll left overs for the border and quilting the top myself.......such an ordeal! God Im trying to get to the other 20 projects sitting on my guest bed and this took a few weeks between work etc, to finish, but its just beautiful....the photos don't do it justice at all, its much brighter and sweeter but you can get a good idea...
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Great for a beginner as I am.....choose beautiful fabric and an easy pattern and you can't go wrong......don't do the opposite or you will lose heart...put your money into the fabric and use pre cuts - its easier, saves you time and money and you don't waste any....
