Instructions

I started with a commercial pattern (Simplicity "It's So Easy" A2830) and modified the size to be larger and deeper. I eliminated the handles and used a pre-bought handle from JoAnn's Fabric.

What was your inspiration?

This was a gift for a co-worker who is a breast cancer survivor. Pink is her color but she's very elegant and wanted a generic bag to carry her lunch, planner, etc. to work with her.

What are you most proud of?

The color combo really works and is "so her!"

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Sew slow....burned out my machine on the thicker layers. Also, I added a heavy sizing between layers so the bag can stand on it's own.
