What was your inspiration?
This neckwarmer was created using wool that I had inherited from my mother. She had used the brown wool to make a sweater for me when I was three-years-old. Both of my children also wore the sweater when they were 3yo, so its held up very well for 30+ years.
I used a fishermans rib for the body of the neckwarmer. It makes a nice thick fabric that is soft and warm. I crocheted the end to give it a flair all its own and balances the pink stripe and pink crocheted buttons.
What are you most proud of?
This came out exactly how I wanted it to :)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make sure your needles and hooks are the same size so the yarn doesn't have a huge change in it's look from knit to crochet.
