Misty Alpaca baby Suri Alpaca and Silk Yarn DK weight yarn 1 pair size 5 US (3.75mm) sharp pointed knitting needles or needle size needed to get the guage.

What was your inspiration?

I love Pine trees and pine cones and made this scarf to commemorate that love. This scarf is warm a will protect your head against harsh weather just as pine trees protect the animals huddled in their branches against the same.

I made matching fingerless gloves.

What are you most proud of?

I love knitted lace and am really proud of how the trunk of the pine tree bumps out just like a real pine.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This pattern was easy and works up fairly quickly once the lace pattern is started. It is made in two halfs and then knitted together using the Kitchener stitch.
