Materials

The hat pincushion is made of felted wool, stuffed with wool. The round one is of cotton , stuffed with wool and an old button for decoration.

What was your inspiration?

I was bored with the traditional pincushion that I had. I use the hat for holding my threaded needles when hand quilting. the other one is for my sewing machine.

Love your pincushions. I am sort of collecting as many as I can find -even as pictures-and plan to make as many of them as I can in future. Since many of us probably come across patterns etc. and like yourself forget where we originally found the patterns maybe you would like to consider my suggestion. When I come accross a project I like I copy the instructions etc. as well as the web address of the designer. In this way I can revisit and also ask for help if necessary. In this manner I can also give credit to the designer and rightfully so since I believe that it is the least we can do as a thank you for free projects. Michailia

Love them so much! I like pincushions not only for their practical use but also as small pieces of art that you can make to collect or give away as special gifts to friends. If you consider sharing the patterns I would love to know. Thank you.
