What was your inspiration?
I just love Pin wheel design
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You cut 10 - 61/2" squares of each colour then place right sides together and stitch a 1/4 of an inch all round. Then you cut from one corner and then turn round and cut from the other corner making 4 pieces, then you stitch together to make a pin wheel. Do this until you have 10 pinwheels, then stitch together in rows of two with a 1/4" seam, then cut 2.1/2" for a border of contrasting colour, then 2.1/2" of another colour and then iron on pellon and cut backing, I used calico, then quilt and bind. Very easy you can use some lovely bright colours depending on your colour scheme
