Instructions

Here is a link to the online video that I watched before making it. http://www.thediydish.com/2011/10/season-4-how-to-make-a-dress-form-mannequin-pin-cushion/

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Functional

For: Women

Style: Victorian / Steampunk, Whimsical, Cute

Materials

Votive candle holder, batting, cotton fabric, hot glue gun, form core board, felt and plastic bobble.

What was your inspiration?

Watched the online video and knew I had to make at least one.

What are you most proud of?

Now that I've made one I have to make more. They are so cute and take so little time.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Watch the video for tips that really help. They suggest using candle holders but I was having a hard time finding any that didn't cost a fortune. Look around for other things you can use for the base. Have fun!

Thank you. Just a little bit of fun and so little time and fabric needed.
