Oh, MAN. That is beautiful! Lookit all those twills! SO. COOL. Love all the colors in the sampler. I'm clapping and squeeing like a little girl here. ;)

Thank you -- I really took this well instructed class to heart -- I accomplished and learned more than I could have thought possible. I would like to do a blanket in course manner using one and/or two samples from the directory done in my sampler but don't think I have the loom width for it. I'll have to think on it.

The sampler of a dozen or more drafts in the course directory was done at the end of my weaving on the remaining warp and clearly shows consistency in weaving and well done selvedges. I now have many patterns to work with.

It is obvious to me on my first pillow that the weaving at the beginning was very inconsistent but I am happy to say that toward its end was greatly improved. When I post the 2nd and 3rd fully completed pillow -- it will show how consistent my weaving became. Practice works wonders as well as greater confidence with the help of fewer interruptions.

Practice practice practice! That's what it all comes down to. That and giving yourself permission to not do things perfectly the very first time you try - we forget as adults how much effort it takes to learn a new thing and expect ourselves to be expert almost right away. Pillow 1 is all about practicing, not perfection. That was another reason we warped for several pieces: so you had enough warp to weave enough to see a marked improvement. Well done, you!

I could not find 14" pillow forms so I had to go with 16x16. Seam allowance is about 1/4" --but it seemed to work well. The only other issue that might not be very accurate is the fulling--still not sure when that is complete but since I did not use 100% wool....I think I did well. Love the soft feel with the bamboo mix.

Just as well that you didn't use 100% wool since it gave you enough width for the larger pillows. They look great!
