What materials did you use? Quilt kit (JoAnn's) with twelve blocks, matching setting kit, fusible web, cotton and invisible thread.

What are you most proud of? This is the largest quilt top I've pieced to date. It took less than a week to put together. Very little frog stitching :D

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Buy an extra fat quarter of each fabric "just in case". You can return any you don't use, add them to your stash, or use them for a pieced back. Measure the pieces before assembly. A couple of them were off. I had to contact the manufacturer for border strips cut the wrong size.

Really like this quilt especially how each block is framed. Another great job done by you, NanaJean!

Thank you very much klh! I had a lot of fun doing this one. Its amazing how fast assembly goes when the pieces are already cut. :D

Hi, I love the colors in this quilt and the white background is so refreshing. What size did it turn out - queen? When I first started quilting in 2011, I wanted to make a king size quilt for our bed. I followed an Eleanor Burns book, "A Star Log Cabin." Looking back, I dont know how I did that. You'll just go bigger from here! Lol

Yes Ladybev! Its a queen. Currently 81 1/2" X 95 1/2". I have instructions on adding another brown border to enlarge it to a 94" X 114" king. I'll need to do some looking for the right brown. There are two used in framing the blocks. I may also create two matching shams - if I have enough from the extra fat quarters I bought. I'll also need some matching tone-on-tone light beige background fabric. Hubby likes this one a lot, as do I. It may end up on our king size bed. I double I'll ever do anything bigger :D Thanks for your kind words.

Very pretty! I really like the fabric.

Thank you desktrip ! I bought more brown to enlarge it to king size as well as more floral to make shams. Now to decide which block(s) or other design(s) to use in making them.

Thanks so much Desna! This one is a lot of fun. Just need to add the outer borders and see what I can come up with for shams.
