What was your inspiration?

This was a lovely combination of needle turn applique and paperpieced leaves. Both techniques I enjoy and when I saw it at a local quilt show I thought it was something I really wanted to do.

What are you most proud of?

As is true of most of my projects I am just proud when I actually get one finished and can hang it to enjoy. I used the back basting technique for the needle turn and felt like it turned out well.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Assemble all your fabrics before you start and just patiently plod along until it is finished.

Gorgeous! Worth all the work. I think the colors and complimentary quilting are masterful. Thank you for sharing:)

I like how the paper-piecing technique gives variegation to the leaves, very interesting. Thank you for 'showing off' your astounding handiwork.
