What was your inspiration?
The Regency Coffee Table project in the Drab to Fab course. The milk paint colours I choose were pulled from the painting.
What are you most proud of?
This is one of my Mom's first paintings. We unearthed it during a move. She wanted to throw it away but I on the otherhand had an immediate emotional attachment. It hangs proudly over the island in my kitchen. I think the picture frame highlights the painting now!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Milk Paint can be unpredictable - which is what I love about it! I had a vision when I started but the paint decided it had another, so I went with it. I love how forgiving this stuff is - so much fun to work with.
