2 skeins of Pandia's Jewels Yarn Sparkle Base in color Woodland Magick- 231 yds per skein; size K afghan hook; tapestry needle.

What was your inspiration?

There, sure enough, in gilt letters of goodly size, was the magic name of PICKWICK!
~ Charles Dickens, The Pickwick Papers (1837-37)

This shawl is soft, warm, and magical in every way. The magic not comes from the subtle sparkle in the yarn but in the fact that this piece can worn in a variety of ways. Pattern uses my own hand dyed fingering weight yarn; Sparkle base; in color- Woodland Magick.

This shawlette also has a compnaion with the Knights Shawl. Both patterns are available as an e-book called the Pickwick Court.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

you need to be afmiliar with tunisian crochet. this pattern is a great beginner pattern for those starting out in the tunisian crochet world. But it is a lso a great pattern for those who are already familiar with the technique and the final piece works up very quickly.
