What was your inspiration?
I was trying to recreate a Pickle Face Pizza from a pizza place in Washington State. I used Genoa salami, pepperoni, and Italian sausage with dill pickle using the American style dough. I also made a regular pepperoni pizza.
What are you most proud of?
That the dough come out as good or better than most professional crust I have tasted. It turned out so good that my teenage son said that we don't need to go to a local pizzeria anymore because mine is so much better.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be mindful of the weights and make sure your dough has enough hydration. Be patient with shaping the dough.
