What materials did you use? Benartex Fossil Fern fabrics for the backgrounds and brightly coloured scraps for the insertions. The back is a small pattern fabric, the insert again uses scraps.

This looks simple - it was surprisingly difficult to get the strips to cross precisely!

I love this and your fabric choice is wonderful. I made a boys quilt with this pattern 'pick up sticks' but I much prefer yours. I like how you did vertical and horizontal sticks too, I just did mine with vertical. Thanks for sharing.
