Materials

85-90 yards super bulky yarn, size 19 US knitting needles, two buttons (1.25-1.75" wide), sewing needle and thread (to attach buttons)

What was your inspiration?

Texture! I love unique texture in super bulky yarns: chunky, oversized, cozy. Phydeaux Twist is my very favorite knitting pattern (shhh, don't tell the others!), because of the wonderfully unique texture.

What are you most proud of?

This was my first multifunctional cowl design. I love that you can wear it in so many ways.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you're a newer knitter, practice the twist stitch! It's a little tricky at first, but once you "get" it, knitting this is a breeze. The pattern includes detailed instruction for the twist stitch.
