What materials did you use? Mostly cottons and then sewn over phone book pages.

What are you most proud of? Still love the colors and didn't let the lack of a particular fabric (couldn't find the cherry gingham!) prevent me from finishing.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Sometimes you have to sleep on it before the "right" solution to finishing the quilt comes to you.

My question is: does the ink rub off on the backs of the square? Phone books seem to do that in my experience, so I'm wondering if it would rub off on the fabric.....or even on my hands while working with it. How was it for you?

P.S. This is beautiful, by the way. Nice work! :-)

No rub-off here. Once phone book is several months old, the ink seems to be set. If you're unsure or want to be safe you can 1) set the phone book pages by ironing and then cooling or 2) use tracing paper instead. Both will work.
