What materials did you use? Cotton fabric

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Keep the paper on as long as you can because of bias edges or spray starch like mad.

Nice job! I have a quilt tester just like yours. Lays down on every quilt I put on the floor, no matter how small. My tester is a Sheltie.

Why is this called a phone book quilt? I am behind the times

04/25/2013 Flag

It's called the phone book quilt because she made it with help from the Phone Book Quilt project in my Scrap Quilting video. The strip-pieced blocks are sewn over pages from an old phone book and then the paper ripped away before quilting.

Because you use the pages of an old phone book as your foundation paper. Mine should really be called the 'spotlight' quilt as I used pages from our local Spotlight store mailers for mine.

like the way your blocks break into the border. I too have the same approval system for quilts - a yorkie

What a lovely black an white composition! And it looks you made it to match your furry friend! My cats are like that too-they have to "approve" of my projects. Good for you-excellent job!
