What was your inspiration?
My husband's grandmother used to make these slippers for him every Christmas. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to make them for the last couple of years, and when I asked her for the pattern, she couldn't remember it.
What are you most proud of?
I am VERY proud of the fact that I was able to reverse engineer my husband's worn out slippers and figure out how to make them! I looked online and found a couple of different patterns, but I'm a novice knitter, so the patterns were confusing and somewhat complicated. After 6 sets of "trial and error" slippers, I figured it out and mastered the pattern!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It actually goes pretty quickly, once you get started. Just go for it!
