To make the pendant hang down a little longer and to give more emphasis, I took an eye pin and layered - black sequin, glass faceted bead, black seed bead, star sequin, black seed bead and a black beveled acrylic bead. String the beads in a pattern to your liking and close with a lobster claw clasp and extender chain.

What was your inspiration?

The owner of one of the shops that sells my designs told me that owls were going to be big this coming season. So, I made some owl necklaces.

What are you most proud of?

The interesting pendant

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

There is no right or wrong way to combine beads - just do it!

I made another owl necklace (on the website) that has pink crystal eyes. He was an earring with pink feathers. I turned him into a pendant and the feathers into earrrings!

I bought it at Beall's Outlet Store on a yucky necklace - I like to buy cheap jewelry and cut it apart and re-create something neat.
