What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make my little grand-daughter bunting for her first birthday... can you believe she is one year old!?!?
What are you most proud of?
How the bunting turned out and especially how I was able to put into practice some of the skills I learned on the Crafsty BOM's for sewing on the lettering. I am also pleased that my daughter could not find bunting to match her theme of black and red (ladybirds) and how I was able to give her this:))) Just for fun, I added a little picture of the ladybird birthday cake Sue and I made.
I am also proud that I have added to my repertoire... another fun thing to make:)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
When cutting out letters or numbers remember it has to be back-to-front!!! I took two atempts at this, I know I should have known better! Be careful when choosing fabric for the letters as they need to stand out from the background fabric... some of mine kind of disappeared:(
This tutorial by Josie is very easy to understand with wonderful pictures.
