What materials did you use? Bonnie Hunter's "Patches and Pinwheels" pattern. Cotton fabrics from stash for center. My son, Wesley picked out the fabrics for the borders. This quilt is to celebrate his graduation from college with a BS in computer science after 8 years and 3 different colleges!

What are you most proud of? That I persisted in finishing the quilt! There was lots of piecing, then I struggled with the free-motion quilting in the borders until I finally bought a new machine. then I breezed through the rest. Love my new Destiny!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Patience and persistence! I could not have quilted this without Ann Petersen's class, "Quilting Big Projects on a Small Machine." Also, Bonnie Hunter's scrap user system and leaders and enders use made piecing possible: http://quiltville.com/scrapusersystem.shtml
