Materials

lumber, and 2 church windows found at a yard sale.

What was your inspiration?

My brother was doing a clean out and gave us a pair of church windows he'd picked up at a yard sale in Pennsylvania. I drew my husband a sketch of what I thought we could do with then and hubby calculated, cut, and created this wonder. We work so well together.

What are you most proud of?

I am happy that we have created something unique for our yard. It sits up on a hill and can be seen by travelers as they drive past our house. It's also becoming a shady spot for summer days as the trumpet vines begin to fill in the overhead.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Think outside the box. You don't have to have an out of the box look like the rest of the world.

BetsyO, Love your projects! Keep up the great work. Very inspiring. We live in Arizona where shade is had to find! I think something like this would be perfect for our yard.

Looks lovely. Makes me anxious for spring and summer. This has been a long cold winter (one of our coldest for some time) and it isn't over yet.

We moved from Fort McMurray AB after retiring because that's the way i felt about the winters there. Winter in PA has been nonexistent this year. It's 61f /16c today.

It's changing each year and we're loving it more and more. The former owners had an above the ground pool there.
