What was your inspiration?
I was stuck for birthday gift ideas for my Mum and I thought I'd make her something instead. I enjoy painting and wanted to do something different. My mother-in-law had a rock painting book and I didn't want to start with something too complex. So I picked the penguin pattern, and my mum and I are both animal lovers. She loved it!
What are you most proud of?
That I painted it on my own i.e. without stencils etc, I did follow the pattern in the book but this was just a picture.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Start with a simpler pattern and then once you get the hang of it you can go onto more detailed paintings. Just experiment really with what you like.
