I used pebbles found at Salobrea beach in the south of Spain to create this funky and totally unique necklace. I decoupaged the pebbles with vintage style papers and leaf sketeons. I used green stone beads and spacer beads to complete the necklace and finished it with a lobster clasp. The jewellery wire I used is very thick and malleable so you can change the shape of the necklace depending on your mood!
What was your inspiration?
I was inspired by the beautiful smooth flat pebbles I found at the beach, and knew I had to get to work with them straight away. The surface was perfect for decoupage.
What are you most proud of?
I love the overall effect, it's so bold and makes a great statement piece of jewellery.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
make sure that you seal your decoupage with a varnish or glaze to keep it firmly in place. And have fun!
