What materials did you use? This skirt consist of two separate layers. Under, is a pretty basic peasant skirt made with three meters of cotton. Over it, a super-wide tulle skirt that took a whopping 7 meters to make. I did both skirts wider from the basic style shared in the tutorial.

What are you most proud of? I love the versatility of the tulle skirt: it can be worn with all kinds of petticoats from floor length to barely-there, and paired with wild, funky colours such as red. It's not the most practical garment, but has delightful decadence which makes it a joy to wear.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Though the peasant skirt is a relatively simple project, take time to think it through before starting. Make sure you have enough fabric, and plenty of time for sewing!
