Materials

Some green or brown or any pear colour you can think of, I have used spring green hand spun. Brown yarn for the stalk 4mm circular needles if using Magic Loop and DPNs' if knitting in the round. Wool needle for sewing in ends. Fleece for stuffing

Be able to knit in the round with DPNs or Magic Loop

It's when you knit the stalk of the pear, you use 2 double pointed needles and knit a little cord for the stem. There is a tutorial for an i-cord on my blog, here is the link for you, http://naturalsuburbia.blogspot.com/2010/03/i-cord-knitting-tutorial.html
