What are you most proud of? I am proud of the fact that up until now my roses looked rubbish to put it frankly, this is the first time they actually look like roses and I'm happy with them. I did a number of things wrong on them but even with that they look okay. I have to make better notes! The notes I had didn't help me at all so I need to watch the video again. I think my leaves look a little thick. :-) PS the pic looks a little skewed and I don't know why.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make really good notes from the video as you'll need them, prepare all your items and follow the class instructions EXACTLY. If that means buy extra kit do so! It's all really important for getting a flawless result, look at a LOT of roses, real ones and ones on the internet, the longer you look at them the more you'll understand what you're trying to achieve. Don't worry too much if you don't get small things right, I am, as Chef Nicholas says, a bit tape challenged lol! but with practice, patience and perseverance I'm getting better. Never give up. :-) xx

The person I made the cake for couldn't believe I made the flowers from sugar, they thought I'd bought them, they have kept them for show. :-) xx
