What was your inspiration?
Jenny Doan's Quilting Quickly course. Jenny is a very good instructor and gives you the confidence that quilting projects are possible, even for the beginner. Jenny uses the pre-cut squares which makes the project a quicker method of completing your project.
What are you most proud of?
The main object of my design made the project a bit more complicated for me, making the additional squares work.... but I finished it. I think my sister will enjoy having something made by her sister, to remember her trip by.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Get your inspiration and customize what skills you have been taught, to make it your own. Starting out with a small project made my first project less scarey.
If I would have incorporated the pre-cut pieces, it would have been easier to keep everything square.
