Instructions

I just took a regular hospital gown and traced it out and made my own pattern...then added the decorative binding around the edges and for the ties...not so hard to make. You can add the ties wherever you think you need the most coverage.

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Unisex

Style: Casual, Funky, Traditional

Materials

Cotton materials, binding tape for ties and edges, thread, sewing supplies & tools.

What was your inspiration?

My friend has a medical supply store and she asked me if I could make some gowns - a bit nicer than the ones she normally can order - and so I made these two. One size fits most.

What are you most proud of?

The way they look- very nice for a (hospital) gown - or around the home if someone is bedridden or recovering from surgery. I especially liked the pink one with the ribbon for breast cancer awareness.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Anthing is possible - if you don't have a specific pattern - you can make your own.
