cut 20x 6" squares of pale flowers in different patterns for background then stitch 5 rows of 4. Then work with these 5 rows, Cut letters in card, freehand looks better than all conformed., then cut letters out in contrasting patterns. What was your inspiration?

Just love patchwork, I saw a similar wallhanging on Craftsy by LauraB76, so I adapted that for my own use

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

buy lots of different small patterned material first, most sewers already have a stash, I do, can't resist buying more
